Kofi Kingston Out of Action With a Jaw Injury

Kofi Kingston was one of many notable absentees last night on Raw, but interestingly, Xavier Woods was still in action without his teammate.

The former Tag Team Champion came up short against T-Bar when he was hit with Eyes Wide Shut, following a distraction from RETRIBUTION, but it’s unclear what the future holds for Woods as a solo star.

In recent weeks, Woods and Kingston have been embroiled in a feud with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander of The Hurt Business since the two men took the Raw Tag Team Championship back at TLC in December.

The commentary team noted that Kofi Kingston was out of action with a broken jaw as part of the show this week, an injury that he reportedly suffered in a match with The Hurt Business.

PWinsider has since updated the WWE Universe to state that Kingston does have a real injury and it is related to his jaw but they cannot confirm that the star has actually broken his jaw at this time.

“WWE announced during Raw that Kingston was out with a broken jaw. We cannot confirm that is the nature of the injury, we are told a jaw issue is why Kingston is out of action.”

Due to the fact that WWE is yet to make an official announcement regarding Kingston’s injury, as of writing, there is no update on how long the former WWE Champion will be out of action.
