Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle addressed WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules on Sunday. Angle said that the original plan was for a 6-Pack Challenge to determine Lesnar’s next opponent but those plans were scrapped as contract negotiations with Lesnar stalled. Angle also announced that Brock must either show up on RAW (RAW after Extreme Rules) or agree to terms on his next match. If neither of the two happens then The Beast would be stripped of the Universal Championship.
The way Angle cut the promo, it sounds like Paul Heyman will appear on RAW to accept the terms for his client’s next match.
As reported earlier, Lesnar is scheduled for SummerSlam in August and all of the talk about his contract, showing up at UFC and refusing to wrestle in WWE is just part of the storyline. It’s WWE ‘s latest attempt to get heat on Lesnar.
As of this writing, It’s still unknown who CEO Vince McMahon has in mind for Lesnar’s next opponent but many people in the company are under the assumption that it will be Roman Reigns again. However, with Bobby Lashley defeating Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules, the WWE Universe is eagerly looking forward to the dream match between Lesnar and Lashley.
Lesnar is currently not listed on any advertisements for RAW. Apart from from SummerSlam, The Beast is scheduled for RAW at the Barclays Center i.e. RAW after SummerSlam.
