The Rusev-Lana-Lashley storyline is in full swing since the beginning of October and the WWE Universe has grown sick of it. Numerous fans have noted how distasteful the storyline is while others have simply decided to boycott the three Superstars.
Throughout this feud, both Bobby Lashley and Lana have received several death threats on social media. During a recent interview with Comic Book, The Ravishing Russian revealed that she is under FBI protection.
“I personally have received a lot of death threats. I’ve gotten calls from like WWE and the FBI, people actually threatening WWE. Having death threats on me and the FBI has had to call me and protect me. And I get death threats on my comments on Instagram, on Twitter. I mean, people are bullies. I mean today I opened my email account and I had this death threat on my email. … But it was just like the names that people call are just, it’s just appalling. It’s absolutely appalling.”
Lana and Rusev signed their divorce papers this week on RAW as The Ravishing Russian and The Almighty continue to play out their steamy romance for over two months.
“You know, cyber-bullying is a big cause of suicide. And I just wanna speak out on it, as like, that is really, really, really wrong. It’s completely wrong…I’m going to continue to strongly speak out about it because I think that there’s a lot, a lot of people that are victims of cyber-bullying and it really Affects their entire life and it’s wrong and it needs to stop.”
Rusev and Lashley will wrestle their first televised match in two days at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. The match could go either way with Lana being the key factor. The WWE Universe is under the assumption that the company will finally move on from this storyline after Sunday’s showdown.
