The Ravishing Russian Lana would love to be part of a women’s tag team division and she’s already picked out her partner.
During an interview with Newsweek, Lana, who also trained as a dancer chose another fellow dancer, the ever athletic Naomi as her ideal tag team partner.
“I’d love to see a women’s tag team division, and I’d love to be tag champions some day. I think my teammate as of now would be Naomi. We would be Ravishing Glow, we already named ourselves that. We would do a little dancing. She’s the best dancer in the world, but don’t tell her that. I tell her I’m better, but that’s our friendship.”
There have been a lot of rumors flying around about a women’s tag team division and titles being introduced lately. These rumors have been partially fueled by the number of potential teams currently on the roster.
While Ravishing Glow has yet to be official, Lana and Naomi have worked some programs together, from a dance off to actually teaming on SmackDown. There’s also the call up of the IIconics and the storyline feud between Bayley and Sasha Banks fizzling out into the two forming the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection.
It is quite possible that a women’s tag team division could be officially announced for the all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution.
The event, slated to occur on October 28 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at Uniondale, New York, still has a rather blank card.
So far, the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT UK Women’s Championship are to be defended in the show. Aside from that, the only other two official matches are the 2018 Mae Young Classic final and a singles match between Alexa Bliss and Trish Stratus.
