Lars Sullivan has dominated the NXT roster over the past few months and even came close to lifting the NXT Championship when he fought Aleister Black at Takeover: Chicago earlier this year.
Sullivan has been pushed as a monster throughout his career, a role that he plays very well, but his time has now come to be called up to the main roster.
Survivor Series weekend saw WWE play a number of vignettes which showed that Sullivan was making his way up to the main roster in the near future and the WWE Universe has since been debating which brand the former NXT star is set to be added to.
According to Brad Shepard on the Oh, You Didn’t Know Podcast, the thinking backstage right now is that Lars Sullivan should be added to the SmackDown Live roster since Braun Strowman is already on Raw and has a similar gimmick, which means that he would have to work much harder to get over.
“Essentially I was told they believe that he would be overlooked on the main roster especially if he goes to RAW because basically, Strowman is a bigger Lars Sullivan right down to the mountain man look and beard. They believe Lars would start on SmackDown and work with some smaller talent, in the beginning, to be successful,” he said via Ringsidenews.
SmackDown has been missing a star and was completely dominated by Raw at Survivor Series so major changes are now expected and Lars Sullivan could be one of the stars that are brought onto the Blue Brand in an attempt to push them back to the level that they once were.
