Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, the Fire and Desire of SmackDown Live, have stayed together on the main roster ever since they first debuted as the Absolution along with Paige in 2017.
Ever since Paige retired from in-ring competition, both these superstars have tried to find their feet in the singles as well as the newly formed tag team division. In a recent interview with Uproxx.com, Mandy Rose talked about her career in WWE and her partnership with Sonya Deville.
When asked about a possible romantic angle between the two superstars, Rose said she would not have any problem if WWE goes ahead with such a storyline between the two superstars.
Rose said WWE has been supportive of inclusion and LGBTQ community, and a possible LGBTQ story will be a good way to support inclusion in today’s world.
“If there was ever to be a type of relationship with us, I’m super supportive and WWE is super supportive of inclusion and the LGBTQ community, so I think it would be awesome.”
Although fans have been speculating about this for quite some time now, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville having a romantic storyline could be a great thing in WWE. Deville is currently the only openly homosexual performer in WWE, and the company could do its part in the inclusion of LGBTQ characters by having a romantic relationship between Sonya and Mandy.
Mandy Rose talked about several other things in the interview, including a possible dream match with Trish Stratus. Rose’s current character is quite similar to Stratus in the Attitude Era, and a match between these two could be possible if WWE gives the green light.
Mandy Rose even talked about her off-screen relationship with Sonya Deville and termed it as everlasting. Both superstars are quite talented in-ring performers, and WWE must ensure they get the best treatment going forward.
Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are supposed to face The IIconics this week on SmackDown Live. If they win, they get a shot at the Tag Team Championships.
