Longest reigning and current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar had a lot of talk this week on Monday Night RAW.
RAW General Manager Kurt Angle asked Paul Heyman to bring Lesnar out in the ring. Heyman went to Brock’s Locker Room and failed to persuade The Beast upon which Kurt threatened Heyman that his contract with WWE would be terminated if Lesnar doesn’t show up that night. With yet another failed attempt at persuading his client, Heyman had sweat on his eyebrows.
Lesnar finally appeared and cut a promo where he first lay waste to Kurt Angle with an F-5 and forced “Constable” Baron Corbin to back down and leave the ring before attacking his longtime advocate.
Lesnar’s performance has really impressed the WWE Universe and WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry is no exception. Henry took to SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio on Tuesday claiming it was the best promo Lesnar has ever cut:
“First of all, I’m going to go on record as saying something that I’ve never said about Brock Lesnar ever,” Henry said. “Best promo he ever cut. When he grabbed Paul Heyman and he said you are not my friend, and he started ripping him. I was like he doesn’t need Paul Heyman. That promo was fire. That’s what Brock needs to do… I thought that segment was really good.”
“Paul Heyman was as spectacular as he always is, playing the role, not only that, but the physical part of it. Because you don’t want to see Paul have any physical interaction and he did [on Monday] and he was tremendous. I’m just so happy we were blessed with that.”
