Matches Advertised For Fastlane
FastLane isn’t set to take place until March since the build-up to Elimination Chamber has only just begun, but it appears that the company has already started to advertise the show locally.
Right now there are three matches being advertised for the final pay-per-view before WrestleMania.
- Intercontinental Championship match between Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins
- WWE Championship match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan
- SmackDown Women’s Championship Match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Of course, all of these matches are subject to change in the coming weeks, but it gives an idea of the direction that many of these storylines are set to take heading into the biggest event of the year.
Seth Rollins Chooses His WrestleMania Opponent
Seth Rollins won the 2019 Royal Rumble on Sunday night and was then pushed to make a decision on which Champion he would face at WrestleMania in a few months time.
Monday Night Raw saw both Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar in attendance and awaiting Rollins’ decision, but after, The Architect got in The Beast’s face and then received five F5’s.
This was obviously Brock’s way of showing Rollins that he wants none of the Universal Champion, but Rollins waited until Raw went off the air to announce that he would be challenging the former UFC Champion at WrestleMania.
Bayley Was Reportedly Sent Out To Save Ronda Rousey On Raw
As seen on Monday Night Raw, Bayley came out to accept Ronda Rousey‘s open challenge, even though Rousey herself was yet to even announce that she was laying down a challenge and this was because WWE reportedly rushed The Hugger out to the ring.
Rousey wasn’t gaining the reaction that WWE expected for her as a babyface and the fact that she’s only been part of the company for a year definitely showed when she found it hard to cut her planned promo in front of a negative crowd.
According to a report by Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Bayley was sent out to the ring early to save Rousey before the segment got any more out of control.
“You know they rushed [Bayley] out. Because you know they had all those inflatable dummies, those inflatable deals and she ran out before that. So it was kinda like they sent her out to save the segment or whatever or maybe Ronda had gone too long and they just threw [Bayley] out there because Ronda kept pausing and everything like that. Whatever it was, Bayley was sent out. So there you go,” he said via Ringsidenews.
Ember Moon To Undergo Surgery
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that RAW Superstar Ember Moon has suffered an elbow injury and will undergo surgery.
“Ember Moon is getting elbow surgery. That’s kind of well-known. Dana Brooke took her place in the match that she was scheduled.”
