Matt Hardy seemingly retired from the ring back in August after it was revealed that he was struggling with a back injury which had seen his spine fuse to his pelvis.
Hardy dropped the Raw Tag Team Championships before he and Bray Wyatt stepped away from the ring for a few months and Hardy then reportedly started learning the ropes backstage so that he could become a producer in the company when his in-ring future was decided.
Hardy is seen as one of wrestling’s legends, which is why it was heartbreaking for him that he was forced to step aside. Despite all of the rumors that have surrounded Hardy and his WWE future, the former Champion hasn’t actually confirmed himself that he has retired from the company himself.
Last night on Raw, Alexa Bliss was given full control of the Women’s Division and was able to make quite an impact when she set Sasha Banks and Bayley up to be attacked by Mickie James, Dana Brooke, and Alicia Fox.
Baron Corbin also showed off his own authority when he changed his match with Finn Balor to a No Disqualification match and then beat down the star three-on-one to end Raw, this was after Elias was attacked by Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre and Corbin earlier in the night.
The fact that the General Managers are seemingly running wild on Raw in recent weeks has caught the attention of Matt Hardy and he recently teased that only one person can fix the brand at present at that is Matt Hardy.
These DASTARDLY GMs are abusing their positions & power on #RAW.

Could Hardy be teasing a return, if Corbin loses his match against Braun Strowman at TLC then he will also lose his job as GM, which means that there could be an opening for a new General Manager. Bray Wyatt responded to Hardy’s claim and is seemingly backing his former partner to do a good job at the helm of Raw.
