Mexican professional wrestler, former NXT Champion, and current WWE SmackDown superstar Andrade “Cien” Almas is purportedly unhappy in the WWE.
According to SuperLuchas, Almas is upset with his current spot in the company. He debuted on SmackDown after WrestleMania and has had some great matches against superstars such as AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Rusev, but has yet to be given a real storyline.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has also mentioned Almas’ dissatisfaction with the WWE recently. Meltzer reported that another Mexican professional wrestler, Rush, turned down an offer from the WWE. The reason? Rush is friends with Almas and knows that Almas is unhappy with the WWE.
According to Wrestlingnews.Co, Almas had previously considered quitting while he was in NXT but was given a push and promoted. Whether that is going to happen now that Almas is in the main roster remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, another Mexican wrestler, the Lucha House Party member Gran Metalik is also fueling talk that he is unhappy with his spot in the WWE.
The luchador recently posted a Tweet where he seems to be seriously contemplating leaving the WWE.
He asked his fan’s if he should go back to his original company, Consejo Mundail de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico or if he should try wrestling in the independents instead. The tweet has since seemed to be taken down.
Gran Metalik entered the WWE in 2016 as part of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament. He became part of the Cruiserweight division and debuted on 205 Live on 2017. He is currently part of the stable known as Lucha House Party with fellow luchadors Kalisto and Lince Dorado.
