Mike Tyson to Knock Someone Out at AEW Double or Nothing?, Three Major Injuries on Dynamite This Week

Mike Tyson is not a stranger to the world of professional wrestling. The celebrity wing member of WWE Hall of Fame and boxing legend will be appearing at AEW Double or Nothing this Saturday.

The Iron Mike will present the brand new TNT Championship to the winner of Cody vs Lance Archer encounter, but his role could be more than just the presenter.

This week’s go-home episode of Dynamite saw the commentary team put over Tyson and his big punch in a major way. They mentioned Tyson’s return to the ring and kept hyping his prowess in the ring despite his role being announced as a mere presenter of the title.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer talked about the clues that AEW dropped on Dynamite this week. With all the hype surrounding the former boxing champion’s return to the professional wrestling scene, it will be highly unlikely that he goes away without knocking some one out.

Lance Archer and Cody Rhodes have a bunch of people along with them, including former wrestlers Arn Anderson and Jake Roberts. Both of these superstars are too old to take a punch from the boxing legend, but it isn’t out of scope. Cody also has guys like QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes supporting him on occasions, but Tyson won’t possibly knock out a babyface.

AEW also has one of the most punchable faces in all of sports entertainment, MJF, on their roster, and he has some beef with Cody as well. Inner Circle’s leader Chris Jericho has previously taken a massive right from Mike during his time in WWE. Could a sequel be on the cards?

Elsewhere, three superstars suffered injuries this week on Dynamite, and none of them were due to Tyson punching them into oblivion.

Fenix, Matt Jackson and Britt Baker suffered injuries this week, due to some botched spots. Fenix made a hard landing after three guys failed to catch him, but he is ready to compete in the Ladder Match this Saturday.

Matt Jackson’s crossbody attempt left him with broken ribs, and Britt Baker had Nyla Rose land on her knee. Both of these individuals were examined and their status is currently unknown.

Jackson features in the Stadium Stampede Match, while Baker takes on Kris Statlander at the PPV.
