The Miz finally cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase during the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view to become a two-time WWE Champion.
After the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre bested five other men in the Elimination Chamber and was attacked by former US Champion Bobby Lashley, Miz came down to successfully cash in on McIntyre.
The win was controversial, to say the least, and in an interview after the event, Miz acknowledged this but stated that he didn’t care.
“I am a master strategist, I think further than anybody else in the WWE,” Miz told Sarah Schreiber. “I didn’t just take respect, I demanded it through all the WWE Universe, and I could care less if everybody’s on the internet going, ‘No, Miz doesn’t deserve it, oh Miz shouldn’t be WWE Champion!’”
“Cry, go ahead and cry, and keep doing it because that is the fuel that lights my fire. I am your WWE Champion whether you like it or not,” he added.
Miz went on to reference the fact that many people were unhappy when he won his first WWE Championship ten years ago, including a little girl who was caught scowling on camera and became known as the “angry Miz girl”.
He stated that he hopes that there would be more “angry Miz girls” now upset that McIntyre had lost to The Miz.
Angry Miz Girl, or Caley, responded to The Miz’s latest win in an interview with Sportskeeda, she’s apparently mellowed towards the Miz and now believes that he’s one of the best in the roster.
“I know it’s a big change from my opinion 10 years ago but I love him when he’s a heel champion. I think he’s got the personality for it down to a T,” she said.
