Curt Hawkins made his return to WWE following the 2016 Brand Split and has since been on a historic losing streak. The Face The Facts star has lost every match he has been a part of over the past two years, but recently disappeared from WWE TV without explanation.
Hawkins suffered a hernia back in the summer and was only recently cleared to make his return to the ring, which is why he was part of Tuesday night’s live event tapings in Leeds, England.
Hawkins picked up where he left off with a loss to his former tag team partner Zack Ryder as part of the show before he took to Twitter to talk about how happy he was to make his return to the ring after 11 weeks on the sidelines.
I just had my first match in 11 weeks. Well, ended up having 3 matches actually & I lost all of them. At least I’m consistent. The streak is very real people. 0-223.#WWELeeds

Despite not being on WWE TV, Hawkins’ streak has continued and he stated that it is now at 0-223. There was a time earlier this year when the WWE Universe were excited that there could be a huge end to this on-going storyline where Hawkins pins someone like Brock Lesnar in a fluke.
The former Tag Team Champion himself noted in an interview a few months ago that he had to beg WWE not to end his streak on Main Event earlier this year since they had booked him to win a match and forgotten about his streak.
It appears the company doesn’t have a huge long-term plan for Hawkins and his historic streak, but the fact that he is now ready to make his return to Raw means that he will now be at the forefront of the action and one step closer to picking up that important victory.
