“My Time Being a Full-Time Wrestler are Numbered” – Daniel Bryan on His Future Plans

Daniel Bryan is easily one of the most exciting WWE superstars of the current generation, but Bryan’s career hasn’t been without its own fair share of issues.

The former World Champion was forced to retire from in-ring competition back in 2016 due to injury, before returning two years later when it appeared that the time on the sidelines had allowed him to heal.

In recent months, Bryan has transitioned into a role as one of the backstage writers of SmackDown, which is why he hasn’t been featured as prominently on WWE TV.

Bryan and his wife Brie Bella also recently welcomed their second child, a son they named Buddy Dessert, which has led Bryan to make an important decision.

Bryan recently spoke to BT Sport where he revealed that his contract is coming to an end and the next one that he signs won’t be a full-time deal. It’s time for his job as a father to take center stage.

“So now I am switching priorities in my life where for years wrestling has been the key focus. Like my contract is coming up soon, and we’re looking at me transitioning to maybe less than a full-time wrestler. My time being a full-time wrestler are numbered. I’m going to be more like a full-time dad, part-time wrestler. Wrestling is my side job, daddy is my most important job.”
