Evolution, WWE’s first ever all women’s pay-per-view event takes place this Sunday, October 28, from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in East Garden City, New York.
The show will feature over 50 female Superstars from WWE’s glorious past and magnificent present. Women from RAW, SmackDown and NXT will compete at Evolution as it plays host to the 2018 Mae Young Classic Tournament Final.
WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus, Lita, Michelle McCool, Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly, Torrie Wilson, Alundra Blayze and Ivory will be back in action at Evolution while Hall of Famer Beth phoenix will play the role of color commentator.
Although there were initial talks of WWE holding a dream match between Naomi and 3-time WWE Women’s Champion Melina Perez, the plan never seemed to materialize and as of this writing, there isn’t such dream match on the Evolution match card.
2-time SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi was recently interviewed by Hype Magazine‘s Landon Buford where she discussed about the potential dream match and addressed other pro wrestling topics.
Here are a few highlights:
What are your thoughts on potentially facing Melina at Evolution?
Beyond excited! I’ve had dreams about it …She wins in every dream!
There are rumors that WWE will be implementing Women’s Tag Team Champions at Evolution. What are your thoughts on it if the rumors are true?
I’m so ready for it, tag teaming is so exciting, and It’ll be great for the division because it will give us another championship to fight for which we need. Being married to a tag team specialist and in my opinion one of the best to ever do it I will have all the coaching and guidance I need to be the first to hold those titles.
If you can pick a tag team partner on SmackDown or Raw who would they be and why?
Asuka! We have a lot in common surprising, and she’s just badass inside that ring point blank period. There are no holes in her game. If there’s anyone I could learn from grow with and dominate with it’s her.
