The SmackDown Women’s Champion picture was looking quite crowded a few weeks ago and it was hoped that Naomi would be pushed towards a Women’s Championship match after the WWE Universe recently got behind her.
Following her feud with Lacey Evans, #GiveNaomiAChance became a Twitter trend and was even used as part of the storyline, but it didn’t make any kind of difference when it came to the former SmackDown Women’s Champion’s career.
Naomi’s husband Jimmy Uso is currently sidelined until January after tearing his ACL, back at WrestleMania, and it appears that Naomi is now on the sidelines alongside him since she recently revealed on Twitter that she’s recovering from emergency surgery.
Naomi responded to a fan who believed that she was the jellyfish on The Masked Singer, to reveal that she’s recovering well and that she will see the WWE Universe again soon.
Noami also recently updated her Instagram story where she shared a photo of her in a hospital bed as well as the specifics of her recent procedure.
“In the midst of hurricane Sally and COVID I also underwent an unexpected 6 hour surgery to finally remove a massive fibroid that’s caused me severe anemia fatigue horrible abdominal pains and more problems I don’t even want to mention over the past year and a half. I’m recovering well. I’m relieved and already feeling so much better. So family and fans don’t worry, I’m ok. Lol, miss ya.”
