Over at the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer is reporting that we could see Neville back in a WWE ring much sooner than many of us thought.
Neville wanted a release from the WWE, which they did not grant him. This meant that while he was not performing for the company, he was not allowed to go and perform elsewhere. It is a situation similar to what Rey Mysterio found himself him and in a way, Daniel Bryan too, but he made the best of it.
Neville started to develop a real bit of personality just before he left in his role as a heel, but many felt that him being pigeonholed into that cruiserweight role was not right for him. If he does return in April like Dave Meltzer says, perhaps he could find himself in a better position than when he left.
