Matt Hardy has reached the end of his WWE run and it’s believed that the former Champion has now been written off WWE TV following two con-chair-tos on the steel steps on RAW. In recent weeks, Edge and Hardy have fallen victim to the returning “Viper” character and it appears that there could be a new star stepping into Orton’s way in the coming weeks.

PWInsider reported that it’s currently being advertised for Drew McIntyre to face off against Randy Orton ahead of Elimination Chamber next month, which means that Brock Lesnar’s latest challenger could be the next man to step up to The Apex Predator.

McIntyre faced MVP this week on RAW and seems to be wasting time ahead of his match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, so a feud with Orton while WWE waits for Edge to make his return could be the perfect option.

One man that many fans believed would return at WrestleMania to face Seth Rollins is CM Punk, the former World Champion currently works on WWE Backstage where he helps to round up all the action from the past week.

Punk has been called out by Rollins a number of times but has refused to return to the ring, but WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry had some harsh words for The Self Proclaimed Best In The World this week on Busted Open Radio.

“I watched him on WWE Backstage, and I feel like he’s got his hands in his pockets. His arms are folded. I feel like he’s, he’s got to be the focal point, I wish I was on the show, I would challenge him. And I would [say] ‘bro, that’s not who you are. I know you. You’re a fighter. That’s why you quit wrestling. So you could go fight because you wanted to fight. win, lose or draw. What do you like to do in your life? Stir the sh*t and fight. Please do that. That’s what entertains me.”
