It was an interesting episode of AEW last week, which included Cody following through on his promise to receive 10 lashes of MJF‘s belt on live TV. It was hard to watch at points throughout the segment, but in the end, it was The American Nightmare’s wife Brandi who made her way to ringside to help her husband to push through the pain.

Many fans noted the fact that Brandi coming to help her husband meant that she broke character because ahead of this appearance she had been seen alongside Awesome Kong stealing superstars’ hair as part of The Nightmare Collective.

Awesome Kong has recently been taken off TV by AEW because filming for season four of GLOW has begun and she is needed to reprise her role, which could be one of the reasons why The Nightmare Collective as a storyline has been scrapped.

PWInsider reported that The Nightmare Collective had come to an end after last week’s show, but Brandi Rhodes then told The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez that it was her call to end the storyline after just a few weeks.

One of the biggest stories surrounding AEW and WWE over the past few weeks has concerned The Revival and whether or not they would be leaving WWE to join All Elite Wrestling when their contracts expire later this year.

Scott Dawson‘s WWE contract expires in March but it appears that the company could have added more time onto Dash Wilder‘s and amidst the speculation that the former Tag Team Champion could be about to jump ship to WWE’s main competition, Wilder has deleted his Twitter page.

The Revival appeared on last week’s episode of SmackDown to attack Braun Strowman and seemingly join Sami Zayn’s new stable, but there are reports now from Sportskeeda‘s Tom Colohue that suggest that WWE is becoming frustrated with The Revival and their next offer to Wilder and Dawson will be their final attempt to keep the duo contracted to their company.
