The Bella Twins showed up at SummerSlam to celebrate the victory of Ronda Rousey over Alexa Bliss as the “Rowdy” was crowned the new RAW Women’s Champion. Rousey now stands as the first woman in human history to have held both WWE and UFC titles.
It appears that The Bellas are already teasing a match at October’s “Evolution”, the first all-women pay-per-view event in the history of WWE. Page Six interviewed Nikki Bella during SummerSlam weekend and talked about various topics that touched her career and personal life.
The 2-time WWE Divas Champion claimed that her break-up with 16-time World Champion John Cena was not a scripted act to boost the ratings of Total Bellas. “The Fearless One” insisted that the drama that had been filmed and aired on TV is very much real despite the fact that she and her ex-fiancé Cena were seen together on a secret vacation in July. Earlier, Nikki had also gunned down reports of the power couple being back together.
The season finale of Total Bellas shows Nikki calling off her engagement.
“It’s just hard for me to relive those moments,” Nikki said. “People said it was fake for ratings, [but] don’t you think a wedding would be best for ratings? I would never fake a break-up…And when people keep questioning it, it actually makes your heart ache even more.”
The major hurdle in their 6-year long relationship was that The Champ had no intention to have kids but Nikki wanted to raise a family. Shortly after their break-up in April, Cena publicly announced that he is ready to have kids and wants Bella back in her life.
However, Bella, 34, seems to have a change of mind as she said during the interview that she doesn’t want to have kids until she’s 40.
Bella continued, “I’m just not the girl who hangs out on set. I have my own career,” she added. “I want to be one of Forbes’ top entrepreneurs.” Nikki and Brie now aims at becoming crossover stars like the highly successful Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
