NJPW Star Fred Rosser Wishes to Be the Black Undertaker

Darren Young, who is now known as Fred Rosser, made his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling recently, and the former WWE Tag Team Champion impressed quite a few people with his showing in the Japanese promotion.

Young is a product of WWE’s own system, having made his debut for the company in the first season of NXT.

His style is quite different from what fans have come to see in Japan, but he has fit quite well.

Young recently spoke about his debut for NJPW and his sporadic appearances inside the wrestling ring since his exit from WWE in 2017.

Young said that he wished to have the mystique of Undertaker and make sporadic appearances.

“The reason why you didn’t see me do a whole bunch of wrestling after my release in 2017 is because—I want to be like The Black Undertaker. It’s very rare that you see him do stuff it’s incredible. I’ve had some of my best work on the independents since my release in 2017 working guys like Fallah Bah, Ray Jaz, Jake Atlas and Shawn Spears.”

Although Young was not the most talented performer on the roster during his long tenure with WWE, he is quite confident about his abilities.

“New Japan isn’t looking for potential, they’re looking for stars. That’s why they’re bringing me in”

Darren Young also mentioned how his tag team partner, Titus O’Neil, helped him get over his anxiety while speaking to Vince McMahon.
