SmackDown Live was presented from Manchester, England this week, which means that the show takes place five hours earlier than usual. The show is the penultimate episode of SmackDown Live ahead of Survivor Series next weekend and contained a number of surprises.

Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte in the first Last Woman Standing match on the main roster back at Evolution and has been building up to her match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series most recently, but this week she was looking for a fight and found one in the form of Nikki Cross.

Cross is someone who knows a little something about Last Woman Standing matches since she was part of the first ever one against Asuka at NXT Takeover. Cross received a huge pop from the WWE Universe as she attacked the current SmackDown Women’s Champion, Cross came out with her old NXT team Sanity and then went on to lose to Lynch via submission.

It is unknown as to whether or not this is Cross’ official main roster debut or if this was just because Cross was in her native country and the company wanted to guarantee that the WWE Universe would be behind the woman facing Lynch tonight since she has been receiving a face reaction in recent weeks when WWE is pushing her as a heel.

Cross still has unfinished business with Bianca Belair on NXT after the two women’s recent meetings both ended in controversy and a winner couldn’t be announced.

With Shayna Baszler taking back the NXT Women’s Championship, Cross could still be open to challenging the former MMA star once again, but it is unknown as to whether or not she will be remaining on SmackDOwn or heading back to NXT in a few weeks.
