Former Ring of Honor star and current WWE NXT superstar Dominik Dijakovic has made a successful return from knee surgery.
Dijakovic is reported to have returned to the ring during a live event at Cocoa, Florida on Saturday. He successfully defeated Cezar Bononi.
Dijakovic suffered a torn meniscus in his knee last April and was pulled from in-ring competition. He underwent surgery for the injury on May, but was not expected back till at least three months.
Though his return might be ahead of schedule, fans in appearance said he looked good and fully healed.
Before he was injured, Dijakovic was in a storyline with Velveteen Dream, gunning for Dream’s NXT North American Championship. The two were expected to face off at NXT TakeOver: XXV but Dijakovic’s injury got in the way. It is likely that, with Dijakovic’s return, the feud with Dream, for the title, will continue.
Maryse Scheduled For Raw Reunion
Two-time WWE Divas Champion Maryse is reportedly scheduled to be at the RAW reunion this Monday.
Maryse is more or less retired from in-ring competition, but has put on several appearances at the side of her real-life husband The Miz.
The last time we saw Maryse on WWE TV was back at the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in February. During the event, she came out with her husband to announce that they were expecting their second child.
It is expected that Maryse’s appearance will mostly have something to do with promoting the next season of her and The Miz’s reality show, “Miz & Mrs.” The show is set to return to the USA Network on July 23.
Hulk Hogan Wants To Take Over Raw
Hulk Hogan is also scheduled for this Monday’s RAW reunion and posted an interesting Tweet about what he thinks should happen during the show.
According to Hogan, he had the “crazy” thought that the RAW Reunion Superstars should “take over.” Whether the WWE or even just some of his fellow returning Superstars will take the Hulkster up on the idea has yet to be seen. But it is a fun idea.
