NXT Stars Debut On Monday Night Raw

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was surrounded by headline news as Bobby Lashley became the new Intercontinental Champion and Finn Balor was announced as Brock Lesnar‘s new opponent at the Royal Rumble after Braun Strowman was stripped of his title match.

The action was fast and frequent on Raw, but while the build up pointed towards Chase Field on January 27th, there were a number of NXT stars who were finally able to make that step up to the main roster with their official Raw debuts.

Lars Sullivan was still a missing star, but the likes of Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross, EC3 and Heavy Machinery were all seen on Raw last night.

Lacey Evans was spotted backstage deep in conversation with Dana Brooke and Mickie James, whilst EC3 was interviewed by Dasha backstage during The Revival’s match against The Lucha House Party where he didn’t actually speak, he just stood and smiled.

Nikki Cross faired much better since she was able to wrestle on Raw when she was revealed as Bayley and Natalya’s partner against The Riott Squad.

Heavy Machinery made their debut on Raw last night as well as Otis interrupted a Moment of Bliss between Alexa Bliss and Paul Heyman and seemingly looked lost to be out in front of the WWE Universe.

Interestingly, WWE made it seem as though this wasn’t supposed to happen since Tucker Knight then came out and lead his Tag Team partner to the back, even though the WWE Universe were happy to see the NXT team make the step up.

As already mentioned, Lars Sullivan was missing from the taping, but NXT stars are expected to work both Raw and SmackDown Live events moving forward so there is always the possibility that Sullivan will be part of SmackDown Live tonight.
