Last night on Raw, The McMahon family announced that the landscape of WWE was changing and that included adding a number of new faces to the main roster.
Whilst the likes of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will be making their way back to Raw in the coming weeks, there are also a number of NXT superstars who are set to debut on either SmackDown or Raw.
Along with Lars Sullivan, who’s main roster call-up was confirmed at Survivor Series, the likes of EC3, Lacey Evans, Nikki Cross and Heavy Machinery have all been announced as the next batch of promotions.
These superstars then took to Twitter to react to their main roster call-ups.
Lars Sullivan has been teased as one of the biggest call-ups over the past few weeks, but The Freak is still yet to make an appearance on the main roster, but he seems as though he could be ready for what awaits him, even though the Raw roster may not be.
Lacey Evans has stood out on the Women’s Division in NXT ever since her debut and now she will be able to bring her own brand of class to the main roster.
It was reported earlier this year that EC3‘s original promotion was delayed because of an injury, but now the former TNA star will finally be stepping up to the main roster.
Nikki Cross already made her main roster debut on SmackDown last month, but it appears that WWE hasn’t decided that she will remain on the blue brand.
Heavy Machinery has created waves in NXT’s Tag Team Division in recent years, so much so that Tucker was added to The Greatest Royal Rumble earlier this year, but they will be looking to shake up whichever Tag Team division they end up being part of.
It’s slightly strange for WWE to call up NXT stars at this time of year ahead of The Royal Rumble where the shock entrants usually happen, but this could be the way forward in the new era of WWE
