WWE NXT UK is set to return to TV next month and taping for the shows is to begin next week.
In preparation for that, Alex McCarthy of talkSports is reporting that NXT UK wrestlers have been put in a “three-week bubble” leading up to the tapings and will apparently stay there for the duration of the tapings.
McCarthy further reported on NXT UK’s tapings in an article posted on talkSports. McCarthy offered an inside look at the setup for the tapings at the BT Sports studio.
According to McCarthy, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels is in charge of the tapings, watching and commenting on everything that is going on virtually.
Commentary of the taped shows will be offered by former ring announcer Andy Shepard who will be joined by Nigel McGuiness who has returned from being furloughed in April. McGuiness, who is still in America, will be providing his commentary remotely.
A new theme song has also been announced for the returning NXT UK. “God of War” by Wargasm will now be played at the opening of NXT shows starting September 17.
