Former AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose announced that she will be absent from this week’s AEW Dynamite as she was exposed to COVID-19.
Rose posted on Twitter that she had come in contact with a family member who tested positive for COVID-19.
As a result of being directly exposed, Rose is isolating herself and going into self-quarantine for 14 days.
Rose noted that the quarantine was necessary because of the “seriousness of the situation” but it would affect her schedule, which included a virtual meet and greet scheduled for the weekend with Damage 365 promotions.
Since she needs to quarantine, Rose will not be able to compete on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. She was scheduled to face Leyla Hirsch during the show.
Rose is not the first AEW superstar who had to pull out of Dynamite due to being exposed to COVID-19 via a family member. Back in September, Lance Archer was pulled from a show after testing positive after being exposed through a family member.
Chris Jericho and Nick Jackson also just announced this week that they had tested positive for COVID-19 back in September.
