Lana and Bobby Lashley were finally married last night on RAW after their original wedding ceremony became quite a controversial event for WWE to end their year on. The Pastor returned to ensure that Lashley and Lana were definitely united under the eyes of God last night on RAW, but it appears that luck wasn’t on his side since he jumped the gun when it came to his cue to enter the ring and security thought he was an overzealous fan.
Security were seen tackling the actor who had been hired to play the part of the official for their wedding before the show went to an ad break and returned to the pastor in the ring waiting to officiate the wedding between Lashley and Lana.
While the WWE Universe found humor in the situation, the actor called Rick Malone who was hired to play the part of the pastor has finally spoken out about the mix up on his Facebook page.
“This is what happened tonight at WWE/RAW: I needed to get into the ring in order to consummate the “Bobby Lashley and Lana Wedding” (which was totally disrupted last Monday night in Hartford CT), but security prevented me, so I had no other choice but to dive into the ring headfirst. Security was not pleased! But the married couple was very happy! ❤️” he wrote on his Facebook page this morning.
He then shared a number of articles that had been written about the altercation stating that it was all a misunderstanding. PWInsider reported that Malone had jumped the gun when entering the ring and security had overreacted, it was later revealed that backstage officials sent word that he was a part of the show and he was then allowed to enter. As Malone stated, it was all just a misunderstanding.
