It’s been a fantastic month for Pete Dunne, who announced the arrival of his first child last week, but recent news surrounding the United Kingdom wrestling scene hasn’t been seen as positive since WWE has imposed a number of restrictions on their NXT UK brand which means that they won’t be able to wrestle for some of the smaller Independent promotions in the country anymore.

Fans haven’t reacted well to this business decision from WWE, which has been a knee-jerk reaction to the fact that their shows haven’t been selling in the UK as well as they had hoped. It is thought that this was best for business since WWE believes that if fans can’t see their favorite wrestlers at local shows then they will pay to see them at the bigger ones instead.

The news has seen many fans take to social media and call the likes of T-Bone and Pete Dunne sell-outs and it appears that the United Kingdom Champion didn’t react well to this.

WWE recently announced the first-ever NXT UK Takeover which will take place in Blackpool in January, this is the same location that the first United Kingdom Tournament took place back in 2017 and saw Tyler Bate crowned the first Champion and the youngest singles champion in WWE history.

Pete Dunne has since won the Championship from his long-time rival and has been the face of NXT UK for the past few years whilst also regularly appearing on NXT TV.

Dunne is currently the longest reigning champion in WWE and has put in the work over the past two years, so it’s easy to see why he would be offended by an accusation from someone who has no idea about the sacrifices he has made the achieve his dream.
