Hulk Hogan was shockingly released from WWE back in 2015 after a historic clip of him making racist comments was leaked online. The company made the decision to distance themselves from the tape and Hogan and went on to remove all traces of him from programming until the media circling around the former World Champion calmed down.
Hogan went on to win his lawsuit against Gawker and after years of apologizing for his actions, it appears that WWE is finally ready to allow the wrestling legend to return home.
It was reported last week that Hogan had been reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame a place that was taken away from him after the comments were made public, and the man himself had been backstage at Extreme Rules, where he had once again apologized to the WWE locker room. The likes of The New Day and Titus O’Neil were less forgiving than others but the general mood was that the WWE roster was happy that Hogan was allowed back.
Many members of the WWE Universe believed that Hogan would return to the company at Extreme Rules, but according to a report by PWInsider, Hogan and his wife have been spotted in Miami, which is the location of tonight’s Monday Night Raw.
Whilst there has been no word on Hogan’s involvement in tonight’s show or if he will even be in attendance at the American Airlines Arena, you have to admit that the timing is quite interesting.
Tonight’s episode of RAW is already a stacked one, that includes Ronda Rousey’s return from suspension and Brock Lesnar’s first WWE appearance since April. The build-up to SummerSlam has officially begun and it could be about to get even hotter in Miami if Hulk Hogan is able to make his first WWE appearance since WrestleMania 31.
