WWE unveiled their latest signing back at Takeover: Brooklyn in August when Matt Riddle was spotted at ringside, but the former UFC star is still yet to make an appearance on WWE TV.

The latest batch of NXT Tapings didn’t include a debut for The King Of The Bros, but with War Games merely months away, he is expected to play a part in the show.

This week on NXT Kassius Ohno explained to General Manager William Regal that he’s had enough of being overlooked, the star who was formerly known as Chris Hero explained that he returned to WWE as the hottest free agent and over the past few months he hasn’t even been on Regal’s radar.

Ohno went on to tell Regal that he would be waiting for his shiny new toy when he arrived in NXT and he would take him out before ending with the word “bro.”

This was obviously a hint to the new signing of Matt Riddle and could be why The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that Riddle vs Kassius Ohno is expected to be part of the card for War Games.

The seeds have already been planted for Riddle’s feud with Ohno but the former MMA star still has a handful of Indy dates to complete before he’s officially introduced to the WWE Universe, the last one is at PROGRESS on September 30th where he will wrestle Mark Haskins.

Riddle has posted a number of updates about WWE and staying in Orlando on his social media accounts over the past few weeks and it’s thought that he will make his debut for NXT at some point in October as the build-up to War Games begins.
