Braun Strowman will represent the men’s RAW Team this Sunday at Survivor Series. Meanwhile, WWE’s current plans for The Monster have already been revealed.
Strowman will be getting his hands on Baron Corbin on December 16, 2018, at the TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event in San Jose, California. It turns out WWE’s original plan was to have Drew McIntyre wrestle Strowman at the event but that changed over time and The Monster will be getting The Lone Wolf instead.
RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon promised Braun that he would get what he wants as long as he is on the same page as Team RAW this Sunday at Survivor Series. The Monster was granted another shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship and also a match with RAW’s Acting General Manager Corbin.
Lesnar crushed Strowman in a squash match to once again capture the vacant Universal Championship at Crown Jewel – the same prestigious title he lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
The Big Dog was unfortunately forced to relinquish his hard-earned Universal Championship in October to take a medical hiatus for battling returning Leukemia.
The Beast vs. The Monster is currently scheduled for Royal Rumble in January 2019. Lesnar isn’t booked for TLC and that gives Strowman enough time to take care of Corbin who screwed him at Crown Jewel and helped Lesnar squash an already victimized Monster.
It’s been reported before that Strowman’s backstage heat is the main reason why his babyface push was halted and that perhaps also goes on to explain why he was denied the championship victory at Crown Jewel earlier this month.
What’s interesting is that WWE is already looking into a big angle that features Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins in the title picture besides Strowman as Lesnar walks into WrestleMania 35 with his Universal Championship on the line.
