Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that current Monday Night RAW plans have former two-time NXT Champion, Samoa Joe feuding with The Big Dog, Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship right after WrestleMania 34. Reigns is scheduled to defeat the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar this year at The Grandest Stage Of Them All.
Joe suffered an injury on his right foot in early January, forcing him to miss this year’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. However, reports claim that the Samoan was present at this week’s RAW tapings backstage in Dallas, marking his first since the injury.
Although there is no confirmed word on when Joe will be back in action in the ring, the WWE Universe has speculated Joe on possibly making a return as a surprise entrant at the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34. However, others consider Joe to return as the mystery partner of Braun Strowman for the RAW Tag Team Championship at ‘Mania against The Bar, although it is believed that Elias will be chosen as Strowman’s partner.
