It has already been revealed that Becky Lynch will take on Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series in just over two weeks time, but there could be a number of other interesting matchups on the night as well.
Tom Phillips noted on commentary as part of last night’s SmackDown Live that one of these matches would see the Intercontinental Champion take on the United States Champion. At present, this means that Seth Rollins could be taking on Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time in WWE history.
The two men have been on separate brands throughout their entire career which means that they have never been able to step in the ring one-on-one, which is why this could be one of the biggest dream matches on the show.
Of course, there are still two weeks to go until Survivor Series, and whilst neither man is defending their title in Saudi Arabia on Friday night, there could still be Championship changes on either Raw or SmackDown ahead of the show.
Rollins is embroiled in a feud with Dean Ambrose after his former Shield teammate turned heel on him last week on Raw, just moments after they won the Tag Team Championships for the second time. This means that he could easily cost him the title, whilst Nakamura was forced to defend his Championship against R-Truth last night on SmackDown Live because Tye Dillinger was sidelined with a hand injury.
Only time will tell when it comes to WWE booking one of the matches that the WWE Universe has been waiting for, but given that Lynch vs Rousey is already a match that is selling tickets for Survivor Series, this would be the perfect second match to announce.
