Randy Orton is set to face the current WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at SummerSlam. He took to TikTok this weekend to hype the match.
In the video, which he also posted on his Instagram, the Viper uses action figures of both himself and McIntyre to “predict” how their SummerSlam match will go. The video ends with a shot of Orton holding a replica of the Championship on his shoulder.
McIntyre was made aware of Orton’s video after seeing it on a Tweet by BT Sport. McIntyre responded to the video by retweeting BT Sports and issuing a written threat.
“Enjoy these last special moments where you can play with yourself,” wrote McIntyre, tagging Orton.
“I’m going to break both your arms and legs at SummerSlam,” he ended his Tweet.
Orton has held major WWE Championship titles 13 times, compared to McIntyre who is in the midst of his first championship run. On the episode of Monday Night Raw before Extreme Rules, he told McIntyre and the WWE universe that he wanted a championship again.
McIntyre accepted Ortons’ challenge, though he was in the midst of a challenge from Dolph Ziggler. At Extreme Rules, after McIntyre retained against Dolph Ziggler, Orton attacked and RKO’d McIntyre.
