Survivor Series is now less than two weeks away and because of the recent Crown Jewel event, WWE has only just been able to start the build-up to their penultimate pay-per-view of the year.

There have already been three matches made official as Ronda Rousey battles Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins takes on Shinsuke Nakamura and Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles collide for the second time in a year.

As well as the usual head to head matches, Survivor Series has always traditionally been the only pay-per-view that houses the five-on-five elimination match and this year Raw and SmackDown will once again go head to head.

Last night on Raw Baron Corbin announced that Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman were the first three participants in the elimination match for Monday Night Raw whilst he would be the team captain something that is now official after McIntyre defeated Kurt Angle in the main event.

According to a report by PWInsider, Bobby Lashley and Kurt Angle are expected to be added to the Raw team. SmackDown Live will also put forward a team for the show in order to battle for brand dominance and this team is reported to include Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, The Miz, Randy Orton, and Rey Mysterio, with Shane McMahon at the helm.

Many of these stars have problems with each other on their own brand, which means that there are a number of combustible elements in this match that will only add to the hype surrounding the event and will obviously be teased throughout the match.

Survivor Series is one of the biggest events of the year and despite the fact that there is only a week of build-up left, it is still expected to be presented as one of WWE’s big four and go off without a hitch.
