This year’s main roster NXT call-ups, The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) debuted in April following the Superstar Shakeup. The duo appeared on Monday Night RAW for a couple of weeks before disappearing from the show.
On the latest REWIND-A-SMACKDOWN podcast, John Pollock revealed the reason behind The Authors of Pain’s absence from the red brand. One of the members of the team had a visa issue but it has been resolved indicating that the team could be back on the road with WWE. The statement has cleared the air filled with rumors citing that the heavyweight duo was sidelined by the Creative because of the crowded main roster talent. It is to be noted that WWE has over 110 main roster talent as of this writing.
The Authors of Pain are rumored to get Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler over as a team, although there have been subtle teases of McIntyre and Ziggler eventually breaking up.
