Kylie Rae was supposed to face Deonna Purrazzo at Bound for Glory last weekend, but the match was changed at the last moment, with Su Yung competing and winning the title instead.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer dished out details about the mysterious absence of Kylie Rae.
Apparently, she was injured two weeks ago but had fully recovered for the show. Kylie was in the area for the PPV but didn’t show up, and Impact officials were unable to contact her as well.
“She was injured two weeks ago, but that is not what happened here. What happened here is, she was [in Nashville for Bound For Glory] on Friday — they were expecting her to work on Saturday, and she never showed up to the building on Saturday. She left no word, she called nobody, she disappeared and as the show was going on, obviously they’re hoping she’s showing up and they can’t find her. They looked — she’s gone, but they’re just hoping she’ll show up.”
Kylie Rae’s wrestling career has been quite a rollercoaster ride. She debuted in AEW, only to leave the company and announce her retirement. She seems to be going through a lot of issues currently, and definitely won’t be seen on TV for quite some time.
