WWE officially released Luke Harper, Sin Cara and The Ascension (Viktor & Konnor) this past weekend and all four wrestlers are about to begin the next chapters in their lives. However, it’s going to be a while before each of the four immediate ex-Superstars becomes eligible to compete elsewhere.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Harper, Sin Cara, Viktor and Konnor are all under 90-day no complete clause as part of their WWE release. They’ll have to wait till March 8, 2020, to become eligible for performing in other promotions.
WWE had buried each of these Superstars despite pushing them as promising future talents initially. We’ll have to see what lies in store for all four men in 2020.
A couple of months ago, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley revived her career with a shock heel turn despite fans now hating her character more than ever.
Bayley had teased a heel turn before but never fully pulled the trigger. However, now that she is playing a villainous role on the main roster, the babyfaces in the locker room are figuring out ways to take her down.
On Booker T’s Hall Of Fame podcast, Bayley discussed the reason behind her heel turn – The Hugger had always wanted to explore her options even if that leads to the portrayal of a dark character on TV.
“It’s been weird for me because I did the same thing for seven years, the same character, and built this fan base for so long. The whole (time), especially towards the end, I was like, ‘I just want to do something different.”
“I want to be bad, I want to be mean. It’ll be easier, I know exactly what I would do, how I would act, how I would talk…It’s all a learning process, but it’s fun. In my career, I want to be able to do everything and go through all the different avenues and the humps and waves. I don’t want to just stay on the same road the whole time.”
Bayley is rumored to defend her title against Lacey Evans in a week’s time at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs.
