Dean Ambrose made his long-awaited return to WWE last night on RAW when it was revealed that he would be in former teammate Seth Rollins’ corner for his Intercontinental Championship match against Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam.
Ambrose’s return came on the same night that Renee Young made history by becoming the first woman to call an entire episode of Monday Night RAW.
After the show, as part of a WWE exclusive video, she was able to share her thoughts on having the best seat in the house to watch her husband make his return.
“The fact that I announced Monday Night RAW tonight and it was the return of my husband, who has not been in the ring for 9 months,” she said via Ewrestlingnews. “Seeing his recovery and all of the obstacles he had to go through to get back in the ring, I had goosebumps the entire time. It was so exciting.”
Renee was also able to open up about what Vince McMahon said to her throughout RAW and she revealed that The WWE Chairman only spoke to her once all night.
“He only spoke to me once, just once. I mean, I’m sure he was kind of letting me get away with a few things tonight. Yeah, he told me to slow down on a couple spots but that was it. And, geez, if that’s the only note that I get from him tonight, hallelujah, I’ll take it.”
Renee was filing in for Johnathan Coachman on RAW last night and it is currently unknown as to whether or not WWE will allow her to take his place again on a more permanent basis.
