Rey Mysterio Wants One Last Match Against Brock Lesnar

Rey Mysterio made his long-awaited WWE return this past year at SmackDown 1000 and has been an active regular performer ever since.

Mr. 619 has mixed it up with several Superstars on the current roster, most notably with Andrade and Samoa Joe. The WWE legend is no stranger to fighting bigger guys and has rewritten history throughout his entire pro wrestling career.

Mysterio currently works a light schedule in WWE and at 44 years old, it’s only a matter of time before the high-flying legend decides to hang up his boots (and mask) once and for all.

However, the masked wonder seems to have yet another bigger guy on his watch before winding down on his in-ring career. And make no mistake, this guy is not just any ordinary guy; he is none other than the most decorated athlete in combat sports, the 2-time WWE Universal Champion, “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar!

During a recent interview with Wrestling Inc., Mysterio said that he would like to wrestle Lesnar one last time.

“Why not?”

“I hit it off with Brock early in his career.”

It is to be noted that Mr 619 and The Beast share quite the history despite the enormous size difference – both men squared off in 2002 and 2003 and delivered some incredible matches that fans still re-watch up until today.

“Every now and then people will post on social media some of the matches we had, and we were doing some crazy things for that time.”

“This was 2003, maybe?”

“What you were seeing was unbelievable so I wouldn’t mind going back into the ring with Brock.”

Lesnar is currently busy with his Money In The Bank briefcase and is expected to be cashing in his contract at SummerSlam or Survivor Series. On the other hand, Mysterio is gearing up for his in-ring return after being sidelined with an injury last month.
