The news has been dominated over the past few weeks by the fact that The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson has started to train at WWE’s Performance Center. It appears that another famous star kid could be making waves in the wrestling world soon after it was revealed that Rey Mysterio’s oldest son Dominik has started a three-month training camp at Lance Storm’s Storm Wrestling Academy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Dominik is already well known to the WWE Universe after he was part of a hard-hitting storyline between his father and Eddie Guerrero back in 2005 when the two men met at SummerSlam in a ladder match to win the right to Dominik’s birth certificate.
The entire feud centered around the fact that Guerrero claimed that Dominik was his child, but in the end, it was Mysterio who won the feud and was able to claim that Dominik was his son.
It’s been more than 13 years since that storyline and Dominik is no longer a 10-year-old boy since his father has been training him to follow in his footsteps ever since he turned 18.
There are a number of second and third generation superstars in WWE right now including Charlotte, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Natalya who all give hope to the children of WWE’s biggest stars which could be why Dominik has made the decision to follow into the family business.
Dominik could already be on WWE’s radar, but a three-month wrestling camp with Lance Storm, who’s trained some of wrestling’s biggest stars including WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, will definitely allow him to step up his game and show WWE that he deserves a place in their Performance Center.
