According to WWE Network News, the next Hidden Gem to be added to the WWE Network is going to be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s tryout match with WWE.

The match took place on March 11th, 1996, several months before his television debut at Survivor Series. The tryout match would be The Rock’s first WWE match of any kind and it has never been seen on anywhere until now. The match will be available on July 19th morning.

The following is the WWE Network synopsis:

“A Rocky Start – 03/11/1996

Long before he became The Rock and ahead of his official WWE debut, see Dwayne Johnson face Bodydonna Skip in this rarely seen dark match.”

Let’s hope this leads to WWE adding more rare dark matches to their Hidden Gems vault.
