16-time World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer, “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair will undergo a serious surgery next week. The surgery is aimed at removing Flair’s colostomy bag, so that the wrestling legend can return to training again, reports Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Flair has however downplayed this surgery as not being as serious as the life-threatening surgery he underwent in August, 2017. The Nature Boy considers himself to be lucky as the surgery was successful and his recovery has been remarkable. The 16-time World Champion’s heart and kidneys began giving out due to decades of drinking alcohol and hardcore lifestyle while on the road (from his wrestling days). The doctors had to remove a part of his bowel to clear out an intestinal blockage and also inserted a pacemaker.
Even today, Flair credits his fiancée Wendy Barlow for saving his life because he thought that he was just dealing with an upset stomach but Barlow urged him to go to the hospital.
The entire WWE Universe wishes Ric Flair the best as he goes under the knife next week.
