Ricochet is finally in control of his narrative—and he’s not looking back. In a candid interview with <a href="https://youtu.be/451Rj3Ahtvc" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">New York Post Sports</a>, the former WWE standout opened up about feeling creatively stifled on the main roster after his 2019 call-up and how AEW has given him the platform to express himself fully.



Ricochet noted that fans saw “glimpses” of his personality during his time in NXT, but after moving to Raw and SmackDown, he became boxed into a “resident superhero” role. Despite pitching ideas and creating his own videos, nothing changed unless WWE leadership decided it should.

“Once you get stuck in a position, you’re kind of there until they deem it different,” he said.

Now, in AEW, Ricochet says he’s taking ownership of his character and presentation on his terms.
