Becky Lynch’s recent transformation from the Irish Lasskicker to The Man has drawn considerable praise from many established WWE Superstars and Legends, but there is one legend who isn’t so impressed.

WWE Hall of Famer, Road Warrior Animal has said that Lynch should “back off” from calling herself the Man.  He also stated that having women as the main event and the best matches in the card was “a problem”

Well, as you can guess, this didn’t sit well with Lynch who was quick to fireback on Twitter.

Now, in his most recent What A Rush podcast, the Animal is trying to “clarify” his earlier remarks.

First, he implies that Lynch is punching above her weight class as he has accomplished more than she ever has and done more for the business.

“Hawk and I won 22 different championships in 22 different companies, come on. I’ve wrestled people all over this world, not just in WWE. I’m not putting down Becky, but when you get the kind of stroke that I’ve had in this business and when you’ve laid the kind of foundation that I have for her even to have a job today, then you can call someone out. I’m not trying to be derogatory right now, but I’m just trying to be blunt honest,” said Animal.

He goes on to say that Lynch is focusing too much on the criticisms he had instead of the compliments and that kind of mindset is not a good thing to have in the wrestling business.

“If someone wants to hang her hat on one little comment, as compared to ten positives, I rest my case. They are thinking about their own ego, rather than the big picture. If I were to be so worried about anything that anyone said about Hawk & I in our day – are you kidding me? I would have jumped off the fricking Missouri River Highway in St. Louis years ago, if I would have been worried about anything negative anyone ever said about us,” said Animal.

No word yet as to what The Man has to say about these new comments from the Animal.
