Roman Reigns, who has recovered from two bouts with leukemia, is partnering with Media Planet USA to raise awareness on the importance of blood health.
Reigns announced his participation on the Blood Health campaign on his Instagram. He also pointed people to an interview he did about the campaign.
In the interview, Reigns urges people to maintain their blood health and be contentious on getting blood labs to catch any conditions at the early stages.
“That’s what I have to constantly remind myself of,” said Reigns. “CML (chronic myeloid leukemia) is going to be with me for the rest of my life.”
“I’m gonna be on these medications, so I have to do something every day to make myself healthier. It’s just constant work,” he added.
Reigns was supposed to face Goldberg for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36. However, he has since pulled out of the program as he is immunocompromised and isn’t comfortable being out during the pandemic.
While Reigns has taken himself off WrestleMania, his cousin and former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax has successfully recovered from double knee surgery and is ready to return to the ring. However she has yet to even make a backstage appearance.
Jax had her surgery last April and began training again in December. While she is medically cleared to return to RAW, there has been no word on when she will return.
Jax is getting a little impatient and the news of all the changes to both RAW and SmackDown due to the COVID-19 pandemic can’t be helping. Jax took to social media again to state that she really, really wants to be a WWE performer again.
She posted a video of herself doing the viral Savage TikTok challenge on her Twitter. She also captioned it with an “I need to get back to work!”
