Roman Reigns Reportedly Pitched An Off-Season To WWE Officials

Roman Reigns is one of the heavy hitters in WWE at present and he is seen as one of the locker room leaders. This means that Reigns is able to get away with a lot of things backstage that many other stars couldn’t approach without punishment, which could be why he reportedly was the man who pitched that WWE should have an off-season.

An off-season would obviously never happen in WWE since the company tours all year round and needs all of their performers to be firing on all cylinders.

WWE is obviously aware that many wrestlers get burned out throughout the year, especially after WrestleMania season which is why there are usually so many injured superstars, but up until now there has been no solution. According to a report by Brad Shepard, WWE will have a much lighter schedule in 2020 which is at least a step in the right direction.

Of course, wrestlers are able to request vacation time as per their contracts which means that they can take some time off if they are injured or need to rest.

Sasha Banks is currently taking advantage of this since she hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania while Finn Balor is another name who has proved that he’s able to request time off since he’s now due to be away from the company until SummerSlam.

The wrestling world will be a very different place in a year’s time with AEW still pushing themselves as WWE’s main competition. This means that WWE should be able to work it to their advantage if they decide to allow their wrestlers to have much lighter schedules. Many of the current WWE stars are used to performing up to six-times a week, so it will be hard for seasoned veterans to get used to.
