Roman Reigns Says “It Just Makes Sense” for Him to Face The Rock at WrestleMania 39

Roman Reigns looks likely to face Goldberg at WrestleMania 37 in just a few months’ time since The Rock is unavailable for this year’s show.

There has been talk of Roman Reigns vs The Rock at WrestleMania for several years and the match was reportedly originally set to happen at WrestleMania 35, but due to Reigns’ leukemia diagnosis, the match was shelved.

In recent months, there have been reports that suggest that the match could happen next year at WrestleMania instead, but after the recent announcement regarding the upcoming WrestleMania events, it appears that 2023 may be the perfect place for The Great One to return.

Roman Reigns recently spoke to Ryan Satin about a match against The Rock, where he revealed that with WrestleMania “Going Hollywood” in two years’ time, “it just makes sense.”

Reigns has been built as one of the biggest heels in the company over the past six months, so it’s interesting to imagine who The Rock will be up against in two year’s time.

With the recent storyline revolving around Reigns’ family and being The Head of the Table, this year’s Showcase of the Immortals would have been the perfect place for The Rock to return and fight for his family.
