Roman Reigns opened this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW with the shocking announcement of being diagnosed with the returning Leukemia. Reigns was first diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 22 and managed to quickly remit the same, but after 11 years, the Leukemia has now returned which thus forced him to relinquish the Universal Championship.
Reigns has taken an indefinite leave from WWE to carry on with his treatment.

I’ve been in many wars with this man. He’s been my biggest rival on tv!!!! But behind the scenes he’s one of my closest friends!!!! He’s is one of the toughest men I’ve ever met and I have no doubt he’ll kick leukemia’s ass and and be back to battling with me soon and I can’t wait. You and your family are in my prayers. Love you Big UCE!!!!! #FUCancer
The tribute, love and support continue to pour in all over the Internet for Roman Reigns. The man himself, has sent out a tweet thanking everyone for standing in his corner as he fights Leukemia.
Thank you to everyone who’s reached out…I can’t put into words what it means to me.
Your energy and positivity motivate me to get better quickly to get back in the ring, but for now I’m going to spend time with my family and focus on health.
Thank you – Joe/Roman

Reigns’ indefinite leave has put the WWE in serious trouble as the company has been forced to overhaul the storylines that it had originally planned for the upcoming pay-per-views. With WrestleMania 35 only 5 months away, WWE needs to quickly plan solid fan-engaging storylines to compensate for the absence of Reigns.
